(Pulaski, PA).After months and months of speculation, criticism, and enthusiasm from drivers, fans, and promoters, it's time to go racing! The debut of the FASTRAK Northeast Late Model Touring Series will take place this weekend with events at Raceway 7 Friday night and Eriez Speedway on Sunday night.
"Hard to believe six months ago FASTRAK was a foreign name to the region," stated FASTRAK Northeast Region Co-Director Mike Leone. "Now here we are with four weekly-sanctioned tracks and a full Touring schedule that's set to kick off this weekend. We're looking forward to going to Raceway 7 on Friday night as Ron Nielson has committed to the class weekly and strong field is expected with Freedom Raceway not running the Late Models. Bobby Rohrer has been gracious enough to give us two shows at Eriez Speedway. Late Model fans will be in heaven Sunday night as the Supers will also in competition for a $3,000 to-win event."
Both events at Raceway 7 and Eriez are 25-lap features paying $1,500 to-win, $150 to-start. The first green flag waves at Raceway 7 on Friday night at 7:30 p.m., while Eriez will open their gates at 3:30 with racing starting at 5 p.m.

All three drivers have won many major Late Model events throughout the region. Other popular drivers expected include last week's Raceway 7 winner Jay Watson, Rodney Phillips, Mark Osburn, Steve Hollabaugh, Dave Norton, Jr., Jon Law, E-Mod standouts Carl McKinney, Greg Oakes, and Larry Kugel, former Sprint Car driver Kyle Drum, Stock Car great Tommy Snyder, Jr., and many others from Ohio, New York, and Pennsylvania.
The Goodyear G45 or G50 tires are mandatory for the event. They will be available at the track for $125 each. There is a $75 entry fee for the event. In order to accumulate points and be eligible for point fund monies and compete at the end year three-day National Championship, drivers must be FASTRAK members. "We're thrilled to part of the debut of FASTRAK here in the Northeast," exclaimed FASTRAK Northeast Region Co-Director Vicki Emig. "FASTRAK has a wonderful model that works fabulous in the South and is expanding all over the country. Everything has taken off so fast here and obviously there have been some kinks, but everyone's learning and wanting to make this the best for the future. We've helped make this transition as smooth as possible here being the communication center between the tracks, drivers, sponsors, and corporate."
