Spend your Memorial Day Weekend at the Lebanon I-44 Speedway
(Lebanon) Memorial Day Weekend is synonymous with great racing
throughout the United States, and the Lebanon I-44 Speedway promises
the fastest dirt track racing in the Ozarks for your holiday weekend
this Saturday night.
After a thrilling week of racing last Saturday, your favorite local
drivers will be ready to get back into action this weekend.
Last week's Late Model feature winner Brandon McCormick will try to go
for two in a row, but will have to contend with 2006 track champion
Brad Looney, who's strong run last week was cut short when Larry Jones
crashed into the leader, giving McCormick the chance to take the lead.
Jones finished runner-up the past two weeks at the Lebanon I-44
Speedway in the Late Model features, and is looking to claim victory
this week.
Steve Picou is expected to be back at the high banks of the Lebanon
I-44 Speedway this Saturday night to follow up his win last week in
the Modified feature. Picou and his father build their own engines,
and he travels from outside of St. Louis in order to race on the red
clay at the I-44 Speedway.
Picou says the trip is well worth it, "I love it here, it's awesome."
Also racing this Saturday night will be your favorite drivers in the
Factory Stock, B-Mod, Bomber and Rookie classes. Gates open at 5PM;
Hot Laps at 6:45PM; and Racing starts at 7:30PM at the high banks of
the Lebanon I-44 Speedway, off interstate exit 135.
