Cozze's A Hero In New Egypt Medal of Honor 40

New Egypt, NJ (May 26, 2007) – Frank Cozze of Wind Gap, PA had all
the answers on Saturday night as he stormed to the front and cruised
to victory in the Medal of Honor 40 lap DIRTcar Modified feature
event at New Egypt Speedway sponsored by Joy Auto Parts.

"We had a really good night tonight," stated Cozze in victory lane,
"I want to thank my crew as they worked very hard to give me a great
car."

At the start of the event John Keller & Tim Tanner Jr. hooked up in a
crowd pleasing side by side battle for the first six laps before
Tanner took control of the field. However the competition was fierce
as several drivers were hot on his heals including Bucky Kell and Sam
Martz. Cozze appeared in the top five for the first time on lap 9 and
began to show everyone that he was a force to be reckoned with as
charged towards the front. Cozze methodically worked his way through
the top five, grabbing the lead for good two laps before halfway.
Bucky Kell made his way into second but was unable to gather enough
speed to challenge Cozze. On the final lap, defending champ Jimmy
Horton saw a sure top five finish disappear as he broke just two
turns from the line. At the checkered it was all Cozze as he picked
up his second win of the season, the 19th of his career. Kell
finished a strong second while Ryan Godown came home third. Martz
grabbed his second straight top five finishing fourth and point
leader Matt Sheppard was fifth.

Starting deep in the field certainly didn't bother Rocco Infante.
Infante of Robbinsville, NJ set his car up to run on the far outside
and then used this to his advantage as he raced to the front from
18th starting position to claim his second win of 2007. Infante used
all 20 laps, as he wrestled the lead from race long leader Willie
Osmun on the final turn. Osmun settled for second, followed by John
Romano Jr. in third, Tim Apgar fourth and Ben Donaruma rounding out
the top five.

Tony Bozowski of New Egypt, NJ claimed his first career feature win
in the 20 lap Super Stock feature event. Bozowski was the class of
the field on this night as he quickly raced to the lead before the
halfway mark and was never headed. Bob Vaccaro finished a strong
second, followed by Matt Kall, George Quinlan and Billy Bauer.

In the eighth race of the Advantage Financial/Cradle Rock Developers
Rookie Sportsman series, Danny Bouc of Plumsteadville, PA won for the
seventh time in eight attempts. With this win Bouc sets the all-time
record for most Rookie feature wins. Matt Holzbaur drove to his best
finish of the season coming home second over Bobby Butler, Eddie
Prentice Jr., and Dan Waisempacher.

The Super Late Models made their second appearance of the season and
brought the crowd to their feet with a tremendous three car battle
for the win. Mark Pettyjohn of Milton, DE passed both his brother
Kenny Pettyjohn and first night winner Ricky Elliott on the final lap
to win his first of the season. Kenny Pettyjohn and Ricky Elliott,
who both lead the event at least twice during the final five laps,
finished second and third respectively. Rob Ormsbee came home fourth
with Tom Lainhart fifth. The Super Late Models will be in competition
at New Egypt every other Saturday night for the rest of the season.

Ken Carberry of Fairless Hills, PA had the Lucas Ford SS Sprints
covered tonight as he won for the second time driving the Wall Racing
#664. Ian Borden finished second, followed by Steve Wilson, Robert
Liedl and Dave Martin.

In the first ever appearance of the 600cc Micro Sprints, second
generation driver Bob Devault drove to victory in the 15 lap feature.
Devault started eighth and took the lead with 5 laps to go for his
first win at NES. Rick Newcomb was second, with Rich McKay, Eddie
Wagner and Rich Mellor completing the top five.

Next Saturday night, June 2nd, it will be Graduation night as the
Advantage Financial/Cradle Rock Developers Rookie Sportsman graduate
into the Sportsman ranks. Before they do, they will run their final
race, a 15 lap double point affair, to decide their championship. The
racing will also feature a full card of DIRTcar Big-Block Modifieds,
Sportsman, Super Stocks, Crate1 Sportsman & Outlaw Stocks. Gates open
at 4:00 p.m. with first green at 5:30 pm. Adult admission is $16,
children 7-12 are $5.50, and kids 6 and under are always free. For
