FULTON, NY – Fulton Speedway will roar back to life this coming Saturday June 2 with the exciting support divisions taking center stage on the fast 3/8-mile oval. Scheduled to compete will be the Gypsum Express Crate Dirt Sportsman, IMCA Modifieds, ESDCA Mod Lites, DIRTcar Pro Stocks, UMP Street Stocks in the June Jam, and a 4-Cylinder Enduro. Race time at the Home of the Victoria 200 is set for 7pm.
The entertaining UMP Street Stock division will be highlighted with the June Jam 25-Lap event.
Every Street Stock feature to date has been nothing but a hard fought several car battle for the win, coming down to the final lap in thrilling style. Winning features to date are Dave Mannise, Dan Hofmann Sr., and Gary Barton. Looking for their first wins of 2007 are Ron Hawker, Steve Woodworth, Jim Wallace, Steve Crouse, and Joe Briere.
In recent DIRTcar Pro Stock action, Billy Clark Jr. and Jason Parkhurst both have two wins each on the high banks. Dick Parkhurst, Dave Briggs, Rob Seavy, Dale Guernsey, Jack Terrell, and Adam Hunt are all gunning for their first wins of 2007.
Car counts in the new beginner’s Gypsum Express Crate Dirt Sportsman division have been steadily increasing, with 10 cars pitside last Saturday. Timmy Sears Jr., Stephen Planck, Sean McCarthy, and Jeff Isabell Jr. have visited victory lane to date in the fledging new class. The popular 4-Cylinder Enduro division will try to hold off Mark Johnston who has two consecutive wins. Josh Herbert, Jon Shumway, Jerry Herbert, and Marjorie Wallace currently are at the top of the standings.
The IMCA Modifieds will return to Fulton Speedway this Saturday for their second show of the 2007 season. Kevan Cook won his first ever Fulton victory over ageless Ken Rogers, Greg Kimball, George Valenti, and Bill Anderson. The ESDCA Mod Lites will also return with all drivers trying to end the win streak of point leader Dan Williams who has two straight victories at Fulton and four straight at Brewerton. Lowell Zehr, Jeff Barker, Tim Devendorf, Justin Crisafulli, and Rocco Leone are currently the top five in the standings.
The DIRTcar Modifieds will have the night off on June 2, but will return in grand style on Saturday June 9. Ferris Industries will present the Advance Auto Parts Modified Super DIRTcar Series in the 100-lap 10th Annual Showdown at Sundown, featuring all of the best Modified drivers from across the Northeast. The DIRTcar Sportsman will also have June 2 off but will come back on June 9.
Admission prices this Saturday June 2 are set as $10 for Adults, Ages 10-14 $5, and 9 and under are free with a paid adult. Racing will begin with Starter Glen O’Loughlin’s green flag at 7pm sharp.
