Glen Ridge Forced To Pull The Plug Sunday Night

Fultonville, NY: The Glen Ridge Motorsports Park was forced to cancel the scheduled activities this past Sunday evening. The rain stayed away all afternoon however bringing a few light showers at the scheduled starting time. With the radar showing a severe storm on the way the decision was made to call the show.

“With the severe weather heading our way we felt the best thing to do was to cancel the night’s activities” stated Race Director Toby LaGrange. The severe weather did hit about 8:30 pm. The was the second rain out of the season - with the first actually a snow out over a month ago.

The 358 Modified’s were to run in the Memorial Day Bash 40 - a regular track points event. Rain checks for Sunday will be honored this coming Sunday night. Further dates for honoring rain checks will be announced later this week.

The entire program will be run this Sunday night - including the 40 lap feature for the 358 Modifieds. A Demo Derby will complete the card. Fonda Fair rules will be in effect for the Demo Derby.

Next week will also be Kids Night. All children dressed in Little League baseball uniforms will receive free grandstand admission. Kiddy Rides will also take place prior to the start of the heat races.
