A huge month of June at Edelweiss Speedway

The month of June, will the busiest month of the 2007 season with 5 nights of racing.

Everything starts on Friday June 1st with the Photo and Autograph night plus a complete racing program presented by Les Industries CD.

A complete program and a demolition derby, awaits race fans on Les Toitures Marcel Raymond night Friday, June 8.

The second race of the Modified and Pro-Stock series along with a complete program, is on the schedule for La Boucherie du Village Night on Friday, June 15.

It will be the turn of the Semi-Pro class to have the second race of their series on Friday, June 22. Alongside the complete program, the modified teams will have the chance to compete into a pit stop competition during the intermission. This night of excitement will be presented by Benson.

A 50 laps Syracuse qualification race for the Modified class, concludes the month of June. A complete program and a tire race for kids are also on the menu on this night sponsored by MC Mallette Électrique & BL Construction.

After the first 3 nights of racing, Lee Ladouceur dominates the modified championship 182 points, is father Laurent follows 176, Dave Heaslip is third with 174, followed by Pierre Dagenais and Éric Gauvreau who have respectively 170 and 156 points. It will be a tight race points during all season long. 3 different winner since the beginning of the season, which are Dave Heaslip, Dan Jalbert and Laurent Ladouceur.

In the Pro-Stock categorie, Dave Bissonnette leads with 190 points, followed by Joey Ladouceur withh 178, Stéphane Lebrun and Denis Gauvreau are equal for third with 170 points. Nicolas Vaillant complete the top 5 with 150 points. There is also 3 differents winner in this class with Dave Bissonnette, Ghyslain Valade and Joey Ladouceur.

Many drivers are in good position to capture the point race in the Semi-Pro category. Marc Lalonde is currently first with 168 points, Greg Ogilvie is second with 160, Nico Leblanc who sold is car during last week is third with 151 points. Michel Hamelin and Guy Régimbald are fourth and fifth with respectively 150 & 142 points. Just like in the Modified and Pro-Stock classes, there are 3 feature winners, Nico Leblanc, Greg Ogilvie and Mark Trudeau.

Danny Matte and Martin Lagacé have 184 points each to hold the first place in the championship race in the 4 cylinders Martin Raymond is third with 172 points, Yannick Raymond, fourth and Gabriel Mercier fifth with 164 and 158 points each. Danny Matte, Martin Bernard and Alexandre Pilon are the winners since the start of the season.

With 5 racing programs in June, the championship race will get tighter and should give some exciting racing during those nights.
