THUNDER SERIES RUMBLES AT GRANDVIEW WEDNESDAY, JUNE 6
THE FAIRGROUNDS AT KUTZTOWN PROMOTION JOINS USAC NATIONAL SPRINT TOUR
AND ARDC MIDGET SHOW
The NAPA Auto Parts Thunder on the Hill Racing Series will rumble into
the Grandview Speedway on Wednesday night, June 6 when the USAC National
Wingless Sprint Tour and the ARDC Wingless Midgets take center stage for
this wingless open cockpit double header. This will mark the first ever
appearance by the USAC wingless sprints at Grandview and the show is
expected to be a crowd pleaser. As a special promotion, the Fairgrounds
at Kutztown Speedway will have a display behind the main grandstand on
Wednesday night. Several cars and drivers who complete at the
Fairgrounds at Kutztown will be on hand to further promote their weekly
racing efforts.
The Fairgrounds at Kutztown Speedway is located in Kutztown, PA and they
offer mid-week racing of 270cc and 600cc Micro Sprints along with the
Slingshots. The Fairgrounds is a one-fifth mile clay oval. Special
attractions include the Xcel 600 Modifieds, 125cc Micro Sprints and
Champ Karts. The 13 race season runs from May through August and they
race every Wednesday night, with the exceptions being when Thunder on
the Hill is in action at Grandview Speedway. On those night, the
Fairgrounds will run on Tuesday night. Admission is affordable at $8
for adults and racing is always completed by 10 PM. Gates open at 4 PM
with practice getting underway at 6 PM and racing taking the first green

The Fairgrounds at Kutztown will be in action on Tuesday night, June 5
with a special invitation going out to all fans and competitors to come
to Grandview Speedway on Wednesday night, June 6. This is a fantastic
cross-promotion between two area speedways looking to grow their fan
base, increase local motorsports awareness and gain additional exposure
for all race team and event sponsors.
The Thunder on the Hill event at Grandview Speedway on Wednesday night
will open the gates at 5 PM. Drivers and cars from Kutztown will be on
display at that time. The great racing action of the USAC National
Wingless Sprint Tour and the ARDC Wingless Midgets will get underway at
7:30 PM. See the top USAC wingless sprint drivers to include Levi
Jones, Dave Darland, Jerry Coons, Kevin Swindell, Johnny Heydenreich,
Brady Bacon and point leader Darren Hagen. Local representation will
include Bill Pauch Sr., Billy Pauch Jr., Lucas Wolfe, Michael Carber,
Mark Bitner and Josh Weller to name a few.
Advance tickets for the Wednesday, June 6 Wingless Doubleheader are now
on sale by calling; 215-860-5631. Tickets will also be on sale at the
Grandview Speedway this Saturday night. Adult tickets are $25, Children
6-11 are $5 and Children under the age of 6 will be admitted for free.
The pit fee is $25 with a USAC Pit License or $30 without a license.
There is also a special bonus for Advance ticket holders. Thirty
advance ticket holders will be invited to take part in the "Inside-Out
Promotion". That's right, due to the huge success of this activity on
May 23rd, thirty advance ticket holders will be invited to watch the
wingless warm-ups from the infield on Wednesday night, June 6. Come out
early and be sure to purchase your advance tickets.
