Forestville, PA – June 1, 2007 – After the completion of qualifying events and an opening lap of the Roadrunner feature, thunderstorms swept through the area and postponed Friday’s card at Big Diamond Raceway. The four remaining feature events will be made up at later dates to be announced.
Felty Farms (Tamaqua) sponsored the evening’s festivities, on a fast-paced night at the speedway.
The headlining 358 Modified division pulled 31 cars. A trio of 10-lap heats were held with victories going to Mike Nicholas (Lebanon), Duane Howard (Oley) and Terry Meitzler (Kutztown). The 10-lap B-main was won by Meme DeSantis (Temple).
33 Sportsman were on hand with 10-lap heat wins going to Craig Whitmoyer (Hamburg), Ray Woodall Jr. (Pen Argyl) and Patrick Cozze (Easton). Codie Berk (Shoemakersville) won the 8-lap B-main.

The Roadrunner main event began with 18 starters. Brian Johnson (Ashland) led the opening lap before a caution flag period took place. Johnson took charge on the restart, however was involved in a multi-car tangle in turn four. It was at this time (9PM) when rainstorms took control of the program and the remainder of this show was postponed.
The upcoming Big Diamond Raceway card is packed with plenty of racing divisions and excitement.
