Bad Weather Forces Cornwall Motor Speedway to Cancel Opening Night for a third week in a row
The weather has not been very cooperative with Cornwall Motor Speedway in 2007. At 5:45 pm a big shower hit the speedway and did not give a choice to the officials to cancel opening night for a third consecutive week.
Over 40 cars had already entered the pits to compete in tonight`s race program.
It is probably the first time of Cornwall Speedway history that they have to postpone opening night on three consecutive Sundays. The bad luck continues to follow Ron Morin has he had to cancel few racing night at the end of 2006. The Jiffy 100, probably the biggest night of racing in the season was one of them.
Morin will try to get opening night in next Sunday, June 10. Again, it will be a twin 25 lap for modifieds, a complete racing program for the other classes and a demolition derby at the end of the night. People that attended the May 20 program, we remind you to keep your ticket stub for next week, as it will be valid to get in the speedway.
Be here next Sunday has everyone is anxious to get the first one in at the premier facility of dirt track racing in the northeast.
