Make room for the World Famous Trailer Race on June 10 as Town Mechanical presents the one-time event at the home of DIRTcar NorthEast, Cayuga County Fair Speedway.
Sportsman Modifieds move into the spotlight on Sunday running a pair of 20-lap main events as the DIRTcar Modifieds have the night off. DIRTcar/UMP Street Stock and BattleKarz divisions will also be on the race card along with a special Central New York Mini Sprint appearance, round two of the Soccer Moms Karmageddon plus the Outlaw Sliders debut at The Port.
Spectator gates will swing open at 5 p.m. on Sunday with the first qualifying heat rolling off the line promptly at 7 o’clock. Pit gates are slated to unlock at 4 p.m. for all competitors.
The trio of ’07 winners Jeremy Pitcher, Joe Williams and Shawn Donath ranks highest in DIRTcar Sportsman division following a handful of hotly contested events, with Donath pulling into the winner’s circle the past two outings as fourth-place runner Tim Currier looks to join the exclusive Cayuga County club. Pitcher and Williams are knotted atop the points chart with Donath looming just four markers behind.
Cayuga County’s full-fender competition has been just as competitive with Phil Marsden the only repeat DIRTcar Street Stock winner and top points earner Bill Werner the lone returnee to victory lane after six BattleKarz main events. Points leader Dave Marcuccilli, runner-up Nick Rizzo and Dave Mannise join Marsden in the weekly Street fight while Jon Shumway, Karl Werner and Nick Werner have notched BattleKarz wins through the first weekend of June.
5-PAK ticket packages continue to be available for all regular events at Cayuga County and sister track Canandaigua (NY) Speedway . Providing a great deal for fans, each 5-PAK of tickets can be purchased for $48.00 which results in the receipt of (1) free ticket. The regular show admission is just $12 for adults (15-64 yrs.), $10 for Seniors (65 yrs. & older) and $5 for youths (10-14 yrs.) while children 9 yrs. & under are free.
