Canandaigua Speedway kicks off a rare DIRTcar double on Saturday, June 16 when Canandaigua Chrysler Dodge presents the Green Mamba Jet Car Meltdown at Sundown.

Doug Rose and his sizzling Car Burning Exhibition travel to Cayuga County Fair Speedway in Weedsport , N.Y. the following day as the World's Largest Jet Car/Truck arrives blazing with 70,000 worth of horse power performing a mega motor vehicle meltdown!

Rose is the only jet dragster driver who dares to drive a car designed for straight-line racing on a circle track. He’ll be harnessing the power of the former World Speed Record Holder Green Mamba Jet Car, with temperatures guaranteed to rise on both nights!

Big-Block Modifieds headline the weekly DIRTcar Racing card at Canandaigua, joining a full show of Sportsman Modifieds, Street Stocks and PureStox. In time for Father’s Day, a special B-B-Q Grill Race just for the dads is also on tap Saturday night at the Ontario County Fairgrounds. Spectator gates swing open at 5 p.m. on Saturday with the first qualifying heat rolling off the line promptly at 7 o’clock. Pit gates are slated to unlock at 4 p.m. for all competitors.

The ‘Hurricane’ Steve Paine looks to extend his points lead in search of Big-Block victory number four in wine country. Chuck Bower stands just two markers back with veterans Charlie Donk and Dave Rauscher, and upcoming talent Derrick Podsiadlo next in line.

Just two points also separate the Sportsman front-runners with Paul Guererri (1 win) clinging to a narrow advantage over Eric Giguere as Loren Lincoln, Tim Currier (1) and Dan Wiesner (2) wait their turn.

Even closer are the Street Stock standings as Blane Smith (2 wins) and Mike Welch (1) are deadlocked atop the points chart at the popular Routes 5&20 oval. Second-generation standout Marc Minutolo heads the PureStox ranks with a commanding lead over George LaVare Jr. and Corey Hunt.

5-PAK ticket packages continue to be available for all regular events at Canandaigua and sister track Cayuga County Fair Speedway in Weedsport, N.Y. Providing a great deal for fans, each 5-PAK of tickets can be purchased for $48.00 which results in the receipt of (1) free ticket. The regular show admission is just $12 for adults (15-64 yrs.), $10 for Seniors (65 yrs. & older) and $5 for youths (10-14 yrs.) while children 9 yrs. & under are free.
