As the Inaugural Firecracker 100 draws near, fans are now being given the opportunity to take an active role in the event. Fans, pit crews, family, sponsors, and local businesses can all play an active role in the festivities on June 29/30. How? For just $25 anyone can sponsor a lap of the 100-lap World of Outlaws A-main feature event.
Not only does sponsoring a lap allow fans to take an active role in the race, it adds more money to an already impressive $140,000 total purse, the largest purse of a Stock Car race in Western Pennsylvania history.
At $25 per lap, an additional $2500 will be added to the total purse, and that’s if only 1 person sponsors each lap. With no limit on how many people can sponsor a given lap or how many laps a given person or company can sponsor. The potential is there for an additional $5000-$10,000 to be added to the purse. $25 is the minimal fee; sponsors may pay more to sponsor a lap at their discretion. For example, Jimmie Johnson could sponsor lap 48 for $48.
Sign-up sheets will be available Friday June 15 and Friday June 22 at the speedway. PA announcements will direct you where to sign up. Sign-ups will also be made available at the track office along route 356 in Sarver next week Monday (18th) through Friday (22nd) and again Monday (25th) through Wednesday (27th) during normal business. Your $25 sponsor fee must be submitted at the time of registration. (Cash and personal check only, please). All money must be received by Wednesday June 27.
Lap sponsors will be displayed at the track during the Firecracker weekend and on our website www.lernerville.com.
Another way fans can actively participate in the Firecracker 100 is the exclusive drivers’ autograph session Saturday afternoon. You’ll get to meet and talk to the greatest late model racers in the country! But the only way into the exclusive drivers’ autograph session is to purchase an advance two-day ticket. The other perk to the advance purchase of a two-day ticket is pit entry for Friday Night’s qualifying events. Factor in the tailgating party with “Pittsburgh’s Best Country” radio station Y108, a Friday Night Concert featuring Nomad and Vanessa Campagna, and fireworks both nights, and you are talking about a lot of entertainment for just $42. Did we mention you also get to see the “Biggest Stock Car Race in Western Pennsylvania History”?
But before the Firecracker 100 Experience, Lernerville Speedway will host two more weeks of Fab Four Racing. Who will make an appearance to shake down their car and get one more feel of the new clay and banking in the turns? The best way to find out is to be in attendance both June 15th and June 22nd.
This Friday June 15, in additional to Fab Four Racing, is #1 Cochran Night, Fan Appreciation Night and Fireworks by Judy. We will also be honoring driver’s fathers in honor of Father’s Day, (Sunday June 17). There is no additional charge for admission; the fireworks are an added perk expressing Lernerville Speedway’s appreciation for all the loyal, devoted fans who fill our stands week in and week out!
Both of these events, the Firecracker and Fan Appreciation Night with Fireworks by Judy, will be filled to capacity. Fireworks are perennially the biggest Fab Four event of the summer!
