FULTON, NY – Professional DIRTcar stock car racing excitement continues on the high banks at Fulton Speedway this Saturday June 23 on Terrell’s Potato Chips Night. Scheduled in race competition are the DIRTcar Modifieds, DIRTcar Sportsman, Gypsum Express Crate Sportsman, UMP Pro Stocks, UMP Street Stocks, Central New York Mini-Sprints, and 4-Cylinder Enduros. Race time at the historic Oswego County track is set for 7pm.
Just some of the top popular names looking for the huge 35-lap DIRTcar Modified feature event win are Jimmy Phelps, Alan Johnson, Dale Planck, Kevin Bates, Brian Weaver, Chad Phelps, Kenny Stafford, Tom Sears, Dan Vauter, Brett Tonkin, Johnny Hill, and Jim Witko. With four different winners in five events, the $1,500 winner’s share each Saturday is up for grabs by anyone in the 24-car starting field.
In DIRTcar Sportsman victory lane contention this Saturday are Chris Hile, John Pietrowicz, Jeremy Pitcher, Dave Reilley, and Sammy Reakes IV. As always, the DIRTcar Sportsman class is among the most hotly contested and close race action each Saturday night. Timmy Sears Jr., Sean McCarthy, Brad Godshalk, Laslow Howiefeld, and Katelyn Kane are the top drivers to date in the fledging Gypsum Express Crate Sportsman beginner’s class.
The UMP Pro Stocks will return to action after a two week hiatus with Jason Parkhurst and Billy Clark the two drivers to beat right now. Joe Stefanski, Jack Terrell, Dick Parkhurst, Dave Briggs, and Rob Seavy are all looking to visit victory lane on Saturday. In UMP Street Stock race excitement, Ron Hawker and Jim Wallace are currently tied in the standings for first place with Gary Barton, Steve Woodworth, Dan Hofmann Sr., and Nick Rizzo right behind. Mark Johnston leads the 4-Cylinder Enduro points over Jon Shumway, Jerry Herbert, Les Baker, and Marjorie Wallace.
The Central New York Mini-Sprints will bring their exciting style of winged race action this Saturday night. The smaller scale cousins of Sprint Cars will race three and four wide on the spacious Fulton oval. Just some of the drivers expected are standings leaders Bubba Broderick, Mike Kiser, Don Harvey, Jared Fink, Jerry Sehn, Justin Phillips, Art Kiser, Fred Hoffman, Sierra Liser, and Shaun Gosselin.
Admission prices this Saturday June 23 on Terrell’s Potato Chips Night at the Home of the Victoria 200 are $12 for Adults, $5 for Ages 10-14, and children 9 and under are free of charge with a paid adult.
