Closing Out The Month of June at Fonda Speedway

FONDA , NY – On Saturday, June 23 at the Track of Champions a regular show in all divisions will be on the racing card with a 6:00 p.m. starting time.

It will also be Student Appreciation Night sponsored by Reality Check and Project Action with students showing a student ID receiving ½ price admission at the gate.

The action will not only be fast and furious on the racetrack either as there will be a live remote with KISS 103.5 FM radio who will be rockin’ the fastest ½ mile on dirt.

You can also cross into the blue with the United States Air Force who will have their Yukon SUV Static F-16 on display. There will be prizes and surprises all evening long so come and join in on all of the fun at the Fonda Speedway on Saturday, June 23.

Looking at the point standings going into the Saturday, June 23 racing program Matt DeLorenzo leads the way in the modified division with 444 points followed by defending track champion Bobby Varin (432), Ronnie Johnson (410), Jack Johnson (342), and Jim Davis (318).

John McAuliffe is the sportsman division point leader with 437 points followed by David Towns (424), Derrick McGrew (393), Mark Kislowski (376), and Luke Monroe and Danny Varin who are currently tied for the fifth position with 373.

Kenny Gates leads the pro stock division points with 472 followed by Rob Yetman and Nick Stone who are tied for second with 458, Kenny Martin Jr. (445), Roy Fifield (444), and Chip Smith (409).

Defending IMCA Track Champion Danny Ballard leads the IMCA points with 306 followed by Jeremy Cramer (303), Aaron Jacobs (295), Danny Ody (291), and Kevin Buff (288).

The street stock point standings are led by Dave Horning Jr. with 490 points followed by Rocky Warner (484), Dave Horning Sr. (450), Neil Cosselman (422), and Chuck McSpirit (380).

The modified and IMCA divisions have run eight point events up to this point in the season (points in both divisions started on April 21) while the remaining divisions have run nine point events after their first point race on April 14.

The Track of Champions closes out the month of June with a regular show in all divisions on Saturday, June 30. All divisions will be on the racing card that evening along with a Giant Fireworks display to help celebrate the upcoming July 4 holiday.
