In the modifieds, Denis Larocque grabs the lead in the 30 lap feature and he`s able to keep for the first four laps when Ladouceur outrace him on lap 5. The son of Laurent, Lee was second, followed by Dave Heaslip, Dan Jalbert, and Ron Valade rounding out the top 5. Laurent Ladouceur and Denis Larocque won the heats.
In a caution free Pro-stock feature, Stephane Lebrun led the first fifteen laps but Dave Bissonnette passed him by the outside on lap 16 to go and win is second feature of the year. Lebrun got the runner up position and Joey Ladouceur completed the podium. Denis Gauvreau won the only qualifying heat.
With 17 cars to start the feature, a lot of action was on hand in the fifteen lap race. Richard Brady took the lead was able to get away from the field but a yellow on lap 5 ruined his plans. Benoit Dubois is able to take the top spot on lap 6 but Marc Lalonde goes by him on the following lap. Lalonde stay in first for the next 5 laps when he gets tangled with Marc Carrière who was trying to grab the first position on lap 12. Because of this, the two of them are out of the race because of heavy damage on both cars. Brian Rochon and Dominic Gauvreau are now in first and second. On the restart, Gauvreau grabbed the lead followed by Rochon and a good battle between them on the last moments of the race when the #57 of Mark Trudeau decided to join them on the last lap and was able to squeeze between them and win is second race of the year followed by Rochon and Gauvreau in third. Bruno Boivin and Daniel Guindon had won the heat races.
Martin Bernard dominated the 12 laps, 4 cylinders feature to collect is second win of the year. Martin Lagacé followed in second and Marco Raymond in third. Danny Matte won the heat race.
Peter Mantha was there with his new World of Outlaw Late Model machine to get some seat time for tomorrows big show at Drummondville. A great rock band was also on hand to entertain the crowd before the races and during intermission. Do not miss next week as there will be a 50 laps Syracuse Qualifier for the modifieds plus a complete race program.
