Independence Motor Speedway loses Mid Season Championships to Rain.

June 23 mid-season championships postponed due to rain at Independence Motor Speedway

INDEPENDENCE, Iowa (June 23) - Persistent, heavy showers at the end of the week through Saturday morning, combined with a lack of drying conditions, have forced officials to cancel the June 23 racing program at Independence Motor Speedway.

Budwesier mid-season championships will be rescheduled for Saturday, June 30. Gates open at 4 p.m. with hot laps scheduled for 6 and racing to follow.
