RAHMER IS "THE KING OF SPEEDWEEK". . . . . .
CINDY ROWE AUTO GLASS SPEEDWEEK OPENS SATURDAY NIGHT AT LINCOLN

Can "The King of Speedweek", Fred Rahmer continue his amazing streak?
Will Lance Dewease, Rahmer's major rival for Speedweek dominance, unseat
the King? Can Greg Hodnett or Keith Kauffman displace both and earn
their second Speedweek crown? Will inaugural Speedweek champ Steve Smith
wrench his son Stevie to a Speedweek crown? Or, will there be a new
champ following the grueling stretch of eight races in nine days?

The answer is not far off, as the 17th annual Cindy Rowe Auto Glass
Pennsylvania sprint Car Speedweek begins this weekend. With more than a
quarter of a million dollars in prize money, and no holds barred Sprint
Car racing on the line, Pennsylvania Speedweek is always a favorite of
eastern race fans.

Rahmer has earned his title as the "King of Speedweek"with a run of ten
Speedweek titles and 28 victories in the 105 races run over the years.
For the second time in Speedweek history, Rahmer has a run of four
consecutive Speedweek titles going. Can he break his own record and make
it five in a row? He has already shown he's ready for the stretch run by
claiming the first Keystone Cup series title over Memorial Day weekend.

Dewease has come the closest to Rahmer over the 16 year's of past
speedweek races. Dewease has worn the Speedweek crown three times, and
has won 16 races. Single time champions Greg Hodnett and Keith Kauffman
are also still active and hunting their second crowns. Hodnett leads the
area this year with seven feature wins to his credit. In speedweek
history, Hodnett has won 14 times, while Kauffman has five wins.

Steve Smith won the first Speedweek title, and also has five Speedweek
wins. While no longer driving Sprint Cars, Smith is twisting wrenches
for his son Stevie Smith, and the pair have been semi regulars in
Speedweek the past two seasons. It appears that this year the Smith duo
will make a run at the title. Stevie Smith has won twice in Speedweek
competition.

Of course, with 21 different winners in central Pennsylvania Sprint Car
action already this year, the Speedweek victory lane could be wide open
for just about anyone.

The Cindy Rowe Auto Glass Pennsylvania Sprint Car Speedweek begins this
Saturday, June 30 at the Lincoln Speedway. The 30 lap Kevin Gobrecht
Memorial race will offer $10,000 to the winner. The thundercars are also
a part of the program.

Sunday July 1, Speedweek moves to the Bedford Speedway. The 30 lap
feature at Bedford offers $5000 to the winner. Bedford's show carries a
Monday raindate.

Tuesday it's off to Grandview for a 35 lap feature that offers $5000 to
the winner. Grandview's popular 358 Modifieds will be on hand for an
invitational program as well.

Wednesday Speedweek moves south of the boarder to the Hagerstown
Speedway. Again it's a 30 lap feature with $5000 to the winner. The
Eastern Museum of Motor Racing will join in the fun, with a presentation
of vintage race cars.

Port Royal Speedway has the first of two 2007 Speedweek dates on
Thursday July 5. Again the 30 lap feature offers $5000 to win. Port
Royal's prostocks will be a part of the program.

Friday it's on to Williams Grove for the Mitch Smith Memorial race. Long
established as the "Crown Jewel" of Speedweek, the Smith Memorial offers
$10,000 to win the 30 lap feature. As it has been for a number of years,
the Grove program will also be Adoption Night.

Speedweek moves back to Port Royal on Saturday July 7. This time the 30
lap feature will pay out $7000 to the winner. Again prostocks will be a
part of the action.

The 17th Annual Cindy rowe Auto Glass Pennsylvania Sprint Car Speedweek
wraps up on Sunday July 8 at the Selinsgrove Speedway. The Jan Opperman
Memorial race will offer $5000 to win the 30 lap feature.
