Mercer, PA.Mercer Raceway Park will hold its fourth open practice of the season this Wednesday night, June 27. Pit gates open at 4 p.m. with practice beginning at 5 p.m. and continuing until dark. Pit passes are $20 and the grandstands will be closed. The rain date is Thursday at the same times. The practice is open to cars of any classes. There is no fee to practice, only a pit pass.
"Everyone has been very appreciative of the practices," stated owner Vicki Emig. "It's been a great tool for many racers. The support thus far has been great especially the last one and as long as the support is there, we will continue to hold them."
This practice is one week earlier due to the Fourth of July race next Wednesday. It will be an excellent opportunity for some of the FASTRAK Late Models to get prepped for the big $5,000 "Yankee 40" Northeast Touring event.
Mercer Raceway Park is located minutes from both Interstate 79 and 80 just off Route 19 on Fairground Road in Mercer, Pa. Dirt track racing and quality family entertainment are presented weekly late March through early October. The office in New Bedford, Pa. is open year-round late morning and after 1:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
