Round Three for ASCS2 This Sunday at Creek County
TULSA, Okla. (June 26, 2007) – Micro Sprint racers from both sides of the state of Oklahoma as well as the surrounding states of Missouri, Kansas and Texas will once again converge upon Creek County Speedway in Sapulpa, OK, this Sunday night for the third round of racing action in 2007 for the American Small Car Series, ASCS2.
Three classes of Micro Sprints, including the Multis, Non-Wing and Restricted "A" Class will battle it out atop Creek County's ¼-mile clay oval this Sunday night, July 1.
Sixty-six entries competed in the ASCS2 season opener at Creek County Speedway on April 29, with 69 entries taking part on June 3.
And with six feature events in the books thus far, six different drivers have posted victories in ASCS2 competition. Montie Frey, Jr., and Chris Berreth have topped the Multi features, Denny Felker and Jonathan Halford have been victorious in Non-Wing action and Tanner Mullens and Kyler Ray have raced to victory lane in Restricted "A" class action.
Berreth currently holds the ASCS2 point lead in the Multis, with Alex Decamp leading the Non-Wing division and Mullens atop the Restricted "A" points.
Sunday night's card marks the first of two consecutive weekends of racing action for ASCS2, with all three classes of Micro Sprints taking to the 1/5-mile Will Rogers Raceway in Claremore, OK, on Sunday night, July 8.
With passing points once again in effect to determine feature lineups, Sunday night's draw closes at 6:30 p.m., with hot laps at 7:00 p.m. and racing action getting under way at 7:30 p.m.
