Perth, Western Australia dirt Late Model driver Craig Vosbergen, 40, made a special appearance on the nationally known Doug’s Dirt Diary radio program recently and the radio interview
is now available online on the internet. Hosted by Doug Elkins, Doug’s Dirt Diary features a multitude of dirt racing stars from all divisions. To tune in to Vosbergen’s interview visit: www.dougsdirtdiary.com
Vosbergen talks about a wide range of subjects including his trip to America next week to run some Late Model races in the Ohio and Pennsylvania area. He also talked about his recent races in Australia and compared the Late Model world there to what he saw in his trip to the United States last year. He also talked about the speed shop he has
back home and described what the Western side of Australia is like and his relationship with Doug Drown Racing who he will partner with for
his USA tour.
Vosbergen will be headed stateside to the USA for some American-style
dirt Late Model racing as the popular ‘down-under’ champion will
once
again align with Doug Drown Racing for a number of events. While his
excursion last season only provided a couple opportunities to race,
among those being a trip to the Dirt Track World Championship, this
year
Vosbergen and Drown will spend a month of American dirt slinging
starting off with the inaugural Ohio Super Late Model Speedweek
Firecracker 4 at Federated Auto Parts Wayne County Speedway and
Lakeville Speedway.
Vosbergen has just finished off another successful season in Australia
driving the Worldwide Machinery, Anaco, Racin Tyres Rocket Chassis #8
where he finished second in the Pro Dirt Series. Last season Vosbergen
drove a Doug Drown back-up Rocket Chassis but this year Vosbergen will
be behind the wheel of his own dirt Late Model. Vosbergen has purchased
a Matt Miler Rocket Chassis that is being prepared by the Doug Drown
Racing team. After Vosbergen’s month of racing stateside the Rocket
Chassis will be shipped to Australia for his use in the 2008 Australian
Speedway season.
In addition to the Ohio Super Late Model Speedweek Firecracker 4 at
Federated Auto Parts Wayne County Speedway and Lakeville Speedway
Vosbergen will join Drown at the MACS sanctioned race at Bedford
Speedway in Pennsylvania and a slate of Ohio races and tracks including
World of Outlaw Late Model Series races at Attica Raceway Park, Eldora
Speedway and Sharon Speedway, a Sunoco ALMS race at Midway Speedway and
two Independent Racing Series (IRS) races at Cannonball Speedway and
Hilltop Speedway.
