Posted by Late Model Editor  |  06/28/07

Officials of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series and Team Lucas have announced that Jim Beam Distilling Company has come aboard as a major marketing partner for the remainder of the 2007 racing season. The Jim Beam Distilling Company joins an already impressive list of sponsors that are supporting the premier touring dirt late model racing series in America, the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series.

"This is really exciting news," said Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series Director, Ritchie Lewis. "Along with Jim Beam and our other terrific sponsorship partners the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will continue to grow as the marketability of the series has been proven with our television contract and all the great race tracks, promoters, fans, drivers and race teams that support the series."

The Jim Beam Distilling Company is the major sponsor on Robby Gordon's NASCAR Nextel Cup car and this past May sponsored Michael Andretti and the Andretti-Green Indy Racing League car that participated in the Indianapolis 500 mile race. Jim Beam recognized the marking powerhouse known as Team Lucas. Team Lucas includes entities such as Lucas Oil Speedway, Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League, I-10 Speedway, Morgan Lucas Racing, and of course the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series.

Along with the inclusion of the Jim Beam Distilling Company, major companies such as K&N Filters, Dixie Chopper, General Tire, Superchips and R&L Carriers have joined forces with Lucas Oil to help continue the growth of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series.

Earlier this year the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series signed a three-year agreement with SPEED Channel to broadcast on a taped delayed basis up to 40 events over the next three years. The SPEED Channel can currently be seen by 70 million households in North America. Also the "Superchips Diamond Nationals" an inaugural event at the Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, MO was taped for broadcast. It was shown twice in June on the VERSUS Network. The VERSUS Network, formerly known as Outdoor Life Network (OLN), is currently available in over 72 million households in North America.

The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series is in the midst of a 37-race schedule in 16 states for 2007. So far there have been 13 different winners in the first 18 events held. For more information on the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series you can log on to www.lucasdirt.com.
