Sportsman Super DIRTcar Series Plus Fireworks to be highlighted This Friday July 6 at Brewerton Speedway

BREWERTON, NY – Fireworks and a Sportsman Super DIRTcar Series Special will be held this Friday July 6 at Brewerton Speedway on Horner Automotive Night. Also in race action at the “D-Shaped DIRT Demon” will be the IMCA Modifieds, ESDCA Mod Lites, and 4-Cylinder Super Stocks. Race time at the popular Route 11 track is set for 7:30pm with the gigantic fireworks display to be set off after the races are over.

The Sportsman Super DIRTcar Series will invade Brewerton Speedway this Friday for a special 30-lap affair with all of the top DIRTcar Sportsman drivers from the Northeast. With the DIRTcar Modifieds having the night off, the Sportsman division will take center stage at the “D-Shaped DIRT Demon”. Expected in race competition are Chris Hile, Rob Hile, Jeremy Pitcher, Shawn Donath, Sammy Reakes IV, Joe Williams, Tim Currier, Jack Meeks, Chris Higgins, Larry Wight, Brandon Sweet, and many more in what will surely be a great battle.

In the IMCA Modified division, Dale Caswell hopes to make it seven straight wins and increase the most consecutive wins record he now owns. Close rival and point leader Kevan Cook is hoping to win his first ever main, with Greg Kimball, Rich Riggs, and Rob Keller also looking to visit victory lane. Dan Williams still leads the ESDCA Mod Lite standings at seven wins with Doug Williams, Tim Devendorf, Lowell Zehr, and Justin Crisafulli the remainder of the top five. Claude Hutchings Jr. holds onto a slim twelve point lead over Matt Wetterer, Chuck Powelczyk, Chris Kranz, and Lorraine Powelczyk in the 4-Cylinder Super Stock class.

After the last checkered flag of the night, a gigantic fireworks display will be set off over behind turn two to help celebrate the 4th of July and our nation’s independence. A tremendous 4-division show is expected this coming Friday topped off with the gigantic fireworks show.

The gates this Friday July 6 at Brewerton Speedway on Horner Automotive Night will open at 5:30pm with racing beginning at 7:30pm. Admission prices are set at $12 for Adults, $5 for ages 10-14, and children 9 and under are free with a paid adult.
