Deer Creek Speedway Readies for Tri-Star Late Model Challenge Series

Deer Creek Speedway in Spring Valley Mn, is gearing up for a highly anticipated show on July 7th. On that night the Tri-Star WISSOTA Late Model Challenge Series will take to the highbanked speedway for the first time in five year. A huge field of cars is expected to converge on this rural track as five classes take to the track vying for their share of the larger prize fund.
The Tri-Star WISSOTA late Model Challenge series will be racing for a $3,000 winners check and a minimum $300 check for each car taking the green flag. Also on hand for the night will be a $1,000 to win USRA modified race, a $500 to win WISSOTA Super Stock race, a $300 to win WISSOTA Midwest Modified feature along with a $200 to win WISSOTA Street Stock race.
A field of 35+ WISSOTA Late Models is expected to invade the speedway with the likes of Kent Arment, Jeff Provinzino, Joel Cryderman, John Kaanta, Lance Matthees, Keith Foss and a whole host of other drivers try to tame the ultra highspeed 3/8ths mile High Banked Speedplant.
A field of 35+ USRA Modifieds are also expected to be on hand to tackle the tough regulars as many of the road travelers from the USMTS series are expected to be on hand. The likes of Mike and Al Hejna, Kelly Shryock, Tommy Myer, Mark Noble along with many others will try to take home the winners check from the strong locals of Mike Sorensen, Brad Waits, Steve Wetzstein, Tim Donlinger and many others.
With ticket prices of $15.00 for this event for adults and $5.00 for kids this is going to be one of the best values for the buck in terms of racing action at any racetrack in the upper Midwest this season. With an anticipated 140+ cars in the five classes it will be a great night to attend.
Racing action for the 800-Radiator Firecracker will begin at 6:00. Drivers cutoff will be 5:30. Gates will open at 3:30, come out and enjoy the afternoon with tailgating in the parking lot and then step inside for some of the fastest racing action at the Deer Creek Speedway.
