O’Reilly All Stars Bringing Fireworks to Tri-City Speedway for Double Points Night.
CAMARGO, IL (7-1-07) - With the 25^th Annual Ohio Sprint Speedweek in
the rearview mirror, the O’Reilly All Star Circuit of Champions will
take a short break before heading to Western PA’s Tri-City Speedway on
Tuesday July 3^rd . The series will invade the Venango County half-mile
oval for “The Freedom Fifty”. Joined by Sharon Speedway’s Limited
Sprints and the Klapec Auto Body Thundercars, the All Stars will race at
Tri-City for the first time since 2002.
“We are looking forward to this event,” said Tri-City Co-Promoter Mike
Graham. “We were able to put together a deal that will be a neat race
for the fans and provide more exposure for the Super Sprints in our region.”
The All Stars will face some stiff competition from Tri-City’s top dogs
in the 30 lap A-main, including former track champions Rod George and
Bob Felmlee along with Brent Covell, Todd Bauer, Rob Eyler and Cory
Good. In addition, Ed Lynch Jr., who recently won his 200th career
feature race and also picked up an Ohio Speedweek win at Eldora, is
expected to compete along with other area racers.
The All Stars will pay double points at this special event as the first
of three double points events for the 2007 season. This will make
things very interesting in the season points championship as it could be
very good for some drivers and could bite others. Series president Guy
Webb stated, “We’ve had the idea of double point nights in our plans
since last winter when we looked at ways to improve our series and we
decided that this would be the first of probably three double points
events this season. We’ll release information on the others in the near
future.”
Past All Star winners at Tri-City include Jeff Shepard, Dale Blaney,
Steve Smith, Danny Smith, Bobby Allen, Keith Kauffman, Rocky Hodges,
Joey Saldana, and Greg Wilson.
Gates open at 4 p.m. on Tuesday July 3rd with time trials slated for 6
p.m. Adult grandstand admission will be $20. For more information,

Tri-City Speedway is owned and operated by Roger and Susie Crick and
Mike and Margaret Graham. They have promoted Sunday night racing at the
popular facility since they reopened it in 1996. Tri-City is located
seven miles north of Franklin, Pa., off State Route 417.
