After the last lap was completed last night at The New Humberstone Speedway, everyone was running to the nearest Blazing 7’s machine at the casino. It seemed you needed at least one 7 in your car number to win last night.

In an exciting Brians Tire Repair Streetstock race it was the younger McPherson in the 777 who captured the checker flag, Cody McPherson stealing the lead from last weeks winner the 4K of Kevin Knapp, but Knapp was not ready to give it up and 2006 StreetStock champ was also looking to beat out the young McPherson. Bill Hogue looked like he might have had the win, but coming out turn 4, smoke started to emerge from the 48H, and eventually his engine would expire about 20 feet from the finish line, having the crowd favorite have to settle for a 4th place finish. (Heat Winners were Heat winners were Rick Beales and Vince Fargnoli)

Another equally exciting Cosco Haulage sportsman race seen the other 777, older brother Tyler McPherson, beating out Dennis Giancola at the finish line. Giancola in his 13 machine led the race from start to lap 24 and looked like he had his first win under wraps until McPherson finding bite on the high side, after watching his younger brother take that same path.
