An exciting month of July at Edelweiss Speedway

The month of July is always an occupied month and there is always a lot of special events. It will be the same pattern in 2007 at Edelweiss Speedway.
It will start on Friday, July 6 with the presentation of the stock-car challenge for the semi-pro class, 35 laps feature is on the schedule. Fans will be able see many new drivers in this event. A demolition derby and a complete program will also be on the schedule presented by Les Fondations BRL.
Many fans already put an X on Friday, July 13 on their racing calendar for the first of two visits of the Empire Super Sprints on Molson Coors Light night. The stands are always jam packed, when the sprints are in town. An ATV race along with the 3rd race of the Semi-Pro series is also on the schedule. The modifieds will have a night off because many drivers will be at Granby for the first race of the Lucas Oil Canadian DIRT Series.
Distribution Léveillé will present a Dynamite night on Friday, July 20th when Benny the Bomb will make is first visit ever at the speedway and will make a car explosion while he is in it. The fans will also have the opportunity to see the Mini-Sprints along with the third race of the series in the modifieds and pro-stocks.
The Lucas Oil Canadian DIRT Series is a great way to finish the month. A 100 lap feature race for the modifieds is on the schedule. It will be the third race of the series as Pierre Dagenais won the 2006 event. More than 30 cars are expected for this great race. Pro-stocks and 4 cylinders are also on the schedule.
Do not forget, the point race in every category, so those four programs will be important. A tight race in the modifieds between the Ladouceur family as Laurent leads Lee by a 2 points margin with 448 vs 446. Dave Heaslip is third with 408 points. Éric Gauvreau is fourth with 392 and Denis Larocque completes the top 5 with 362.
Dave Bissonnette has a 10 points lead over Joey Ladouceur with 426 against 416. Denis Gauvreau is third with 410. Stéphane Lebrun is fourth with 408 and Nicolas Vaillant is fifth with 354.
The top 5 in the Semi-Pro goes as follows, Marc Lalonde is the leader with 362 points, Bruno Boivin is second with 352, Sébastien Bigras is third with 328, Richard Brady fourth with 326 and Mark Trudeau completes the top 5 with 322.
Martin Lagacé has took a 30 points lead over Martin Bernard with 428 for Lagacé and 398 for Bernard. Danny Matte is third with 380 points, the Raymond brothers are fourth and fifth with Yannick with 378 and Marco with 348 respectively.
The month of July will have races of all types and for everyone with the sprints, 100 laps for modifieds, 35 laps for semi-pro, a special attraction with Benny the Bomb. A lot of action is on the schedule! Please come and see some great races.
