(Woodhull, NY) In a recent blockbuster announcement made jointly by Woodhull Raceway owner, Vern Wasson and Thunder Mountain’s Dick Stark, the 2007 Modified Short Track Super Nationals will be held at the Woodhull Raceway.

The 2nd Annual Bully Hill Vineyards Fall Shoot Out, scheduled for Friday, Saturday and Sunday, October 5-7 will be the setting for one of the richest purses in Twin Tiers Motorsports history as three big days loaded with a premier division each night and a total of seven different classes spread throughout the weekend.

“Dick and I started the ground work for this joint venture several weeks ago, stated Woodhull’s Vern Wasson. Originally the event was scheduled for the Thunder Mountain Speedway, but changing circumstances have promoted this joint effort between the two tracks. By the time we get everything ironed out this will no doubt be one of the biggest events ever staged within the region.”

Dick Stark of Thunder Mountain echoed Wasson’s statement. “We’ve had a tough year at T.M.; there’s no hiding the fact. However, by teaming up with Woodhull we can now put on an even more high powered show with big purses for the racers and discount ticket prices for the pit’s and grandstands.”

The weekend will start off with the T3 All Star Series for 358 Modifieds presented by Troyer Race Cars as they will run their traditional 40 lap feature event on the high banks. The Small Block Brigade will also share the night with the Mini Stocks and Front Wheel Drive Divisions. With a light program it will allow for the track to open for practice at the conclusion of the regular event as many Big Block teams are expected to do double duty with multiple cars.

Saturday, October 6 will be the big night with IMCA Modifieds, Crate Sportsman, Mini Stocks, Front Wheel Drive’s and the running of the 50 lap Modified Short Track Super Nationals for Big/Small Block Modifieds.

Sunday will wrap up the three day event with the running of a huge Street Stock Open along with Non-winners specials for the 358’s, Big Block Modifieds, Crate Sportsman along with Mini Stocks and Front Wheel Drive classes. Gate and start times for each day as well as the clarification and determination of “Non-winners will be spelled out at a later date. Sunday’s date can also be used as a rain date should the action from Friday or Saturday fall to Mother Nature.

T3 All Star Series promoter and Woodhull Public Relations Director, Kenny Shupp stated that, “This is going to be one heck of a big weekend. The T3 guys take center stage on Friday then they can come right back and try and qualify on Saturday night to run with the Big Block’s this I might add on a track that a Small Block can be very competitive with a Big Block. We’ve made arrangements that the winner of the T3 event is guaranteed a spot in the Saturday night 50 lap Modified feature event. We’ve worked with Dick and his family earlier this year at a T3 event at Thunder Mountain and we worked very well together, I think this joint effort between Vern and Dick will go quite smoothly as his wife, son and some of the other key people he will be bringing along know the ropes and we look forward to working with them.”

Purse structures for each class are still in the works as well as ticket pricing for daily, two day and three day passes for both pit and grandstand entry. “We’re going to make this an affordable weekend for everyone, claimed Wasson. Our goal is to have many of the teams and fans stay for the entire three days and by providing an affordable gate price we can do just that.” Over night parking will be allowed all three nights and added security will be in place for race teams wishing to leave their rigs on site. Numerous motel accommodations and eating establishments are within a 20 mile drive of the track in the Corning area (East) and Hornell (West). Restaurants and gas stations are located within just a few miles of the track in the Woodhull/Addison/Jasper area.

With this announcement it will mean even greater exposure for Bully Hill Vineyards of Hammondsport, NY and according to spokesperson Bill King of Bully Hill, “Last year’s Fall Shoot Out was absolutely terrific. With this announcement it will make the three day event even bigger and it will create even more exposure to our wine products.”

As further details are released they will be posted on both the Thunder Mountain and Woodhull Raceway track web sites.

It should also be noted that the Modified Short Track Super Nationals was the original concept of founder, Brett Deyo. His first attempt at the actual promotion of a Motorsports event was met with a great deal of success last season with the inaugural event staged at the Afton Speedway. However, due to his full time work obligations it has become increasingly difficult for him to spend the necessary time on the co-promotion of an event of this magnitude. With that, Deyo has agreed to let Stark and Wasson handle the 2007 event.
