06/19/07 - Forestville, PA-June 19, 2007- The Race of Champions Dirt South Tour event for this evening at Big Diamond Raceway has been postponed due to the impending inclement weather. "All indications point to this cold front entering our area this evening and mixing with the humid air to cause severe thunderstorms consisting of heavy winds and hail. The projections have the storms hitting the area during our racing program. RoC officials had requested for us to keep a eye on this storm and to make a early decision based upon the chances of the inclement weather hitting during the event schedule. stated Big Diamond's Buddy Biever.
"We apologize to the teams and fans looking forward to seeing tonight's event but with the cost of fuel for both teams and fans as well as travel time involved this was a considerate decision." stated Biever.
RoC and Big Diamond Raceway are currently working on a suitable rain date for this event to be rescheduled. |
