BREWERTON, NY – Nice N’ Easy Grocery Shoppes will present the exciting DIRTcar racing action this Friday July 13 at Brewerton Speedway. Scheduled in hot racing competition will be the DIRTcar Modifieds, IMCA Modifieds, ESDCA Mod Lites, 4-Cylinder Super Stocks, and 4-Cylinder Enduros. Race time at “The D-Shaped DIRT Demon” is set for 7:30pm.
The headline DIRTcar Modifieds will battle wheel to wheel this Friday in the 35-lap main event paying $1,500 to win. Six different winners have graced victory lane this season with Tom Sears Jr. and second place driver Willy Decker winning two each. Point leader Alan Johnson has one victory to date. Other winners have been Kevin Bates, Roy Bresnahan, and Jimmy Phelps. Looking for their first wins of 2007 are Chuck Bower, Dan Vauter, Kenny Stafford, Jim Witko Jr., and Tim Sears.
Dale Caswell remains dominant in the IMCA Modified division with seven straight wins, a season record. Kevan Cook leads the points with Caswell second, followed by Pete Anderson, Greg Kimball, and Rich Riggs. Dan Williams is still the top driver in the ESDCA Mod Lites with Doug Williams, Tim Devendorf, Lowell Zehr, and Justin Crisafulli right behind in the standings.
Claude Hutchings and Chuck Powelczyk are currently locked in a battle for the track title with four wins for Claude and two for Powelczyk. Matt Wetterer has two wins, with Chris Kranz, Lorraine Powelczyk, and Aron Backus looking for their first victories. In the Enduro division, Josh Herbert, Jerry Curcie Jr., Jerry Herbert, Devon Rookey, and Chris Bonoffski lead the standings.
The gates this Friday July 13 at Brewerton Speedway on Nice N’ Easy Grocery Shoppes Night will open at 5:30pm with racing beginning at 7:30pm. Admission prices are set at $12 for Adults, $5 for ages 10-14, and children 9 and under are free with a paid adult.
