St. Catharines, ONT…There is never enough money paid to race teams for the investment in equipment and time spent. However, the Marketing Partners of the BRP CanAm Series continue to work to reward the race teams with the best purses, best bonus programs, and best point fund possible for the traveling 360 late model tour.
The next three Series events will all offer extra dollars to the race winners.
· $1313 to win on Friday July 13 at Black Rock Speedway. Ed Carley Motorsports of Freedom, NY is the title sponsor for the evening. Carley, builds many of the cars that compete in the BRP CanAm Series has been a Series Marketing Partner from the beginning of the Series in 2003.
In addition to the extra dollars for the A-Main winner Suzuki Motorcycles and ATV Dealers of New York and Pennsylvania will present each of the top 13 in Series points an EZ Up tent.
· $1422 to win on Saturday July 21 at McKean County Raceway. The MCR event honors Brock Young who was killed in a 2002 highway accident. Brock raced cars #22 at McKean County Raceway. That is the rationale for the $1422 – One For [Brock] #22. The Young family of Scio, NY has also been a friend and partner of the Series since the beginning.
· $2000 to win on Saturday August 4 at Genesee Speedway. BDK Construction of Basom, NY and EastCoastSpeed.com are the title sponsors for the evening which honors the life of Russ Prentice. Prentice was a race car driver, who died of natural causes in 2005.
BDK Construction is the title sponsor of the 360 Late Model Division at Genesee Speedway for the 2007 racing season. EastCoastSpeed.com is a Series Marketing Partner.
Each race date the BRP CanAm Series teams race for prize money posted by track owners plus bonuses which include F/A Products – Clevite Engine Parts heat race, Ed Carley Motorsports B-Main, DART Machinery Hard Charger, Performance Friction Brake of the Race, Suzuki Motorcycles & ATVs Luck, Absolute Powder Coating Rookie of the Race awards, the $500 Close Racing Supply Front Row Challenge, Brad Penn Oil Pole Award, and a portion of the $30,000 year end point fund.
