FONDA, NY – The one and only mid week show of the 2007 racing season at the Fonda Speedway will take place on Tuesday, July 17 with a 60-lap Modified Open paying $6,000 to win highlighting the racing program at the Track of Champions.
Also on the racing card will be a 40-lap Race of Champions (RoC) Tour event with warm-ups starting at 6:00 p.m. and racing at 7:00 p.m. Incase of rain the race will be held the following evening, Wednesday, July 18 with the same starting times.
Drivers who are slated to come in to challenge all of the Fonda Speedway regulars include Brett Hearn, Pat Ward, Danny Johnson, and Mitch Gibbs to name a few.
Looking through the record books at the Track of Champions there has been a total of 248 modified feature events (358 and big block combined) of at least 50-laps or over run in the 56 year history of the track with a total of 57 different drivers winning those events.
The complete rundown of all of the drivers who have won those events and the number of wins that they have includes:

60-laps seems like a unique amount of laps for a racing event but one of Ken Shoemaker’s wins listed above was actually a win in a 60-lap event back on 9/24/1960 according to the book “Fonda” which is where the win records above were taken from.
