STURGEON BAY, Wis. (July 13) – Four IMCA divisions will take to the
track in the Friday, July 20 special at Thunderhill Raceway.
Modifieds run for $1,000 to win, making that feature a qualifying
event for the 2008 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot. Stock
Cars chase a top prize of $700, with $300 to win in the Karl
Chevrolet Northern SportMods and $275 to win in the Hobby Stocks.
National, regional and Smiley’s Racing Products state points will be
awarded.
Pit gates at Sturgeon Bay open at 3:30 p.m. and racing starts at 6:30
p.m. Grandstand admission is $12 for adults, $10 for seniors and
students, and $6 for kids ages 6-12, with five and under admitted free.
The special is sponsored by Woody’s Signs and Lewis Photography.
Along with a kids’ coin drop, numerous prize giveaways are planned
for fans and drivers.
No races are scheduled at Luxemburg Speedway that evening;
Thunderhill also holds its regular weekly show on July 21.
