Drummondville, PQ – Saturday, July 14, 2007 – Drivers and officials were ready to start the time trial session but rain started to fall on the speedway and the surface was so wet, that Drummond officials decided to cancel the race and postpone it to Monday, August 6, which will become a doubleheader with Granby on the 7th.
It is no less than 43 cars that signed in for the Drummond event. Drivers like the 2006 series champion David Hébert, the 2005 champion, Danny O’Brien, Brian McDonald, Yan Bussière, Pierre Dagenais, the Clair brothers Mario and Gino. Also in the pits, were five regulars of Frogtown. With that amount of competitors in the pit area, it is the biggest field ever that showed up for the Canadian DIRT Series.
Autodrome Edelweiss is now next on the schedule to start a three race weekend. Edelweiss is hosting the event on Friday, July 27 followed by Brockville on the 28 and Cornwall on the 29. Drummond will have the fourth race on August 6 and the champion will be crowned on the next night at Autodrome Granby. Be part of all this action.
