Frankie Kerr to appear at Fremont.
By Brian Liskai
FREMONT, Ohio (Tuesday, July 18, 2007) - Frankie Kerr, a four-time champion of the All Star Circuit of Champions and current crew chief for David Reutimann's Nextel Cup car, will greet fans at Fremont Speedway Saturday, July 21 on Beck Oil Night, as NASCAR has the week off.
Kerr's last win in a sprint car came at "The Track That Action Built" on June 27, 2000, during the Ohio Sprint Speedweek. The popular driver of the Stan Shoff 23s retired shortly after recording that 53rd All Star win.
Perhaps Kerr, who has 10 career victories at Fremont Speedway, can help the pole-sitting driver decide whether to take the "deal!" Over the next three weeks of racing at the historic speedway, the driver scheduled to start on the pole of 30-lap feature for the Fort Ball Pizza Palace 410 Sprints has to decide "Deal or No Deal." If that driver takes the "deal," he would start 13th in the feature. If he goes on to win, he would take home a $2,500 bonus for a $5,000 pay day! Should the pole-sitter opt for "No Deal," then the option goes to the outside front row starter - 2nd starting spot to 13th for a chance at a $2,500 bonus!
