Edelweiss Speedway cancels July 20 show
By Martin Bélanger
Cantley, PQ - Friday, July, 20, 2007 – The massive rain precipitations that the Outaouais region received in the last hours did not give a chance to promoter Serge Lagacé but to cancel his July 20th race program. It is the second time this year that Edelweiss needs to cancel because of bad weather.
Next week, Edelweiss will be the host of the first race of the Lucas Oil Canadian DIRT Series, a 100 lapper for 358 modified. The winner will get a guaranteed spot in the Syracuse classic next October. Last Saturday at Drummondville, 43 drivers had sign up for this event but officials had to cancel the show because of showers. Every driver will be even when they enter the event at Edelweiss since no race was done for this series.
Time Trials are schedule to start at 7pm will the first heat at 7:45pm. Pit gates will open at 5pm and grandstand at 6pm.
Also in competition on that night, will be the Pro-Stock and 4 cylinders, as the Semi-Pro will have a night off.
This event sponsored by Béton RB is to be put on your calendar.
