Pete Bicknell claimed the 3rd Round Modified Lucas Oil Series Shootout on Sunday night at The New Humberstone Speedway. Bicknell who led for the majority of the 35 lap main event. 42 took the lead from early leader Todd Gordon on lap 9 sending the XXX of Gordon to 2nd place. Gordon than having to battle with the 80 of Chris Steele for 2nd place. A battle Steele would eventually win. Meanwhile a battle for 4th was happening between the 20 of Jeff McGinnis and the 38 of Scott Wood. Top 5 were Pete Bicknell, Chris Steele, Todd Gordon, Jeff McGinnis, and Kenny Cosgrove. In the Cosco Haulage Sportsman 25 lap event it was the 97C of Luke Carleton who was able to hold off the field to claim hid first sportsman checkered flag. Carleton and Jeff Leggett ran side by side for the entire race, and on victory lane Carleton credited Leggett with clean racing. In a fight for the 3rd place spot was between the 108 of Bill Bleich and 777 of Tyler McPherson, a fight McPherson would win. Top 5 are Luke Carleton, Jeff Leggett, Tyler McPherson, Bill Bleich, and Nick Cupolo. (Heat Winners were Rick Bellante, Paul Gaboury and Luke Carlton)
Kevin Knapp claimed the 20 lap Brians Tire Repair StreetStock division. Coming out of nowhere Knapp took the lead from 2006 StreetStock champ Bill Hogue. Hogue having to battle for 2nd with Rick Beales who was on fire and managed to hold off Hogue

he was actually on fire his last lap and track officials calmly told Beales to pull in field where Ontario Motorsports Rescue was waiting to assist him. Top 5 were Kevin Knapp, Rick Beales, Bill Hogue, Cody McPherson, and Paul Wichert. (Heat Winners were Vince Fargnoli and Bill Hogue)
We are beginning to see a father son battle, not be outdone by his son Dave Small who won last week, it was James Small who took the checkered flag this week in Kendall Oil Ministock Division. Small who had to fend off the 7w of Aaron Wiley who settled for 2nd and the 67S of Dave Small in 3rd. Charlie Lynch who had car trouble in the heats called in a favor from fellow competitor Rob Goulding and raced in the 16 rabbit and placing a solid 4th. A great run for the 61 of Chris Laskey rounding out the top 5. After post tech, the 7w of Aaron Wily was disqualified, the 67s of Dave Small placing is on hold, the 16 of Charlie Lynch was disqualified, and the 61 of Chris Laskey was disqualified. Top 5 were than James Small, Dave Small (On Hold), Abel Castelein, Brandon Iudiciani, Len Wiley. (Heat Winners were Len Wiley and Aaron Wiley)
In the Niagara Auto Sales Division it was two or two for Johnny Low. Low who managed to hold off the K51 of Ed McNamara and the 7 of Kevin Aube. Top 5 were Niagara Auto Sales Pro 4 Truck Feature Finish Results- John Low, Ed McNamara, Kevin Aube, Doug Banner, and Rick Book. (Heat Winners were Doug Banner and Yeroon Van Leeuwen)
In the Weekend Warrior division it was Lenie Sliter who captured her first win in rookie division. Sliter took the lead from Roger Gilbert on lap 7, when the 95 and the 68 of Yens Mortensen got together along the front stretch, leaving a wide open margin for the 6 to take the lead. Top 5 were Lenie Sliter, Terry McNeil, Roger Gilbert, Brad Booker, Will Schwemler and Jens Mortensen. (Heat Winners were Jens Mortensen)
