SHOT DROP/RISLONE SPRINT NATIONALS SET FOR WILLIAMS GROVE ON FRIDAY,
AUGUST 3RD
It just can't get much better then is. The highly competitive URC
BAR'S LEAKS Sprint Series just keeps rolling along and after fifteen
race dates, thirteen different drivers have entered victory lane in
2007. What seems even more remarkable is that seven different drivers
scored their first ever career URC win in 2007. And this is no fluke,
and there were no easy wins. The latest new winner came on Saturday
night at the Selinsgrove Speedway when twenty-six year old Joey Biasi
turned up-side-down the URC world. as he found the URC victory lane in
just his fifth attempt with the United Racing Company. Biasi from
Mary-D, PA earned the win in style, snatching the lead on the last lap
and the final turn from veteran Kramer Williamson.
Biasi competed in a variety of different racing classes including the
Super Sportsman and 305 Sprints. He built a 360 Sprint in 2007 to run
the new Northeast ASCS Series which failed after just a few events.
This provided Biasi the opportunity to run URC. Joining Biasi as first
time URC feature winners this year are Justin Collett, Dave Calaman,
Chad Layton, Michael Carber, Josh Weller and Lucas Wolfe.
The United Racing Company sprint cars will be heading to the Bridgeport
Speedway on Saturday night, July 28 for the Fred's Trailer Center New
Series event. The following week, Friday, August 3rd, URC will present
the SHOT DROP/RISLONE Sprint Nationals, a $4,000 to win event at the
Williams Grove Speedway. All the top drivers from URC will be joined
by the best of the 358 sprints in the second annual running of the SHOT
DROP/RISLONE Sprint Nationals.
