3 NIGHTS, 3 STATES, 3 IRA WINNERS

7/20 Britt, IA The largest crowd in Hancock County Speedway history witnessed an outstanding night night of O'Reilly Bumper to Bumper IRA Outlaw Sprint Series racing as Donny Goeden and Scotty Neitzel put on a race long duel, swapping the lead as they threaded lapped traffic on the fast 4/10 black dirt. Goeden took advantage as Neitzel hesitated just once in traffic to grab the lead for the final time with just three laps remaining to claim his series leading 6th win of the season. Goeden piloted the Bob Walldan 50th Year In Motorsports Anniversary Maxim to the win. Billy Balog, point leader Travis Whitney, and John Haeni completed the top five.

Heat wins went to Scott Biertzer, John Sernett, and Neitzel. Mike Reinke captured the B-main. Whitney set quick time over the 28 car field.

BIERTZER SCORES FIRST IRA WIN AT DEER CREEK

7/21 Spring Valley, MN Third generation racer Scott Biertzer claimed his first career O'Reilly Bumper to Bumper IRA Outlaw Sprint Series win by claiming the 30 lap headline event on a perfectly manicured Deer Creek Speedway. The win was quite a popular one for the well liked son of open wheel veteran Ken Biertzer as dad turns the wrenches on the family Maxim.

Kurt Davis led the first several circuits before a high flying Mike Reinke took control and proceeded to set a blistering lap, circling the high banks at near track record speed. The fast pace however caught up to the leader as his huge lead went away as Reinke encountered contact while trying to put a lap on a pair of cars battling for position resulting in a the leader spinning.

Biertzer would take control and continue to hold off pressure from Donny Goeden. The red would fly as Gary DeWall took a slow roll, though Goeden was collected in the process eliminating both.

Biertzer then held off a determined Brian Kristan for the win, with both Biertzer and Kristan scoring career best IRA finishes. IRA point leader Travis Whitney claimed third over an unbelievable drive by Reinke who rocketed his way back through the field to take fourth over Scotty Neitzel.

Billy Balog set fast time over the 29 car field, while heat wins went to Steve Meyer, Goeden, and Biertzer. Biertzer adding to his huge night by claiming his 11th heat win of the year. John Sernett claimed the B-main.

DAVIS WOWS 'EM AT DARLINGTON

7/22 Darlingtn, WI The Bumper to Bumper IRA Outlaw Sprint Series made it a night of first's as they took to the fast but tricky LaFayette County Speedway for the first time. Sprint car veteran Kurt Davis claimed his long overdue first career IRA feature win, out dueling Bill Warren in a thrilling battle. The victory was also the first owner Bill Modjeski who borrowed the power plant installed in Davis's 6k Eagle. An emotional Davis celebrated wildly in victory lane, much to the delight to the first time 410 crowd.

Davis grabbed the initial lead and was chased by Donny Goeden. Ninth starting Warren made his strength known by taking over the runner-up spot. As the lead pack entered lapped traffic Warren actually drove under the rim-riding Davis to lead a lap, however Davis retook the position just a lap later as the two roared through traffic on the high-speed tri-oval.

Davis would win by a two car lengths over Warren, with Goeden, Mike Reinke, and Scotty Neitzel in a photo finish over John Haeni for fifth. The race as slowed only once as Tim Vandervere, Rick Kelsey, and Brian Kristan tangled at the midway point, knocking all three out of action.

Haeni established a new track record in qualifying over the 22 car field, with heat wins going to Meyer, Davis, and Neitzel.
