By Martin Bélanger

Cantley, PQ - Wednesday, July 25, 2007 – Edelweiss Speedway will be the host this Friday, July 27, of the first of a three race weekend counting for the Lucas Oil Canadian DIRT Challenge. Brockville Ontario Speedway will receive the series the following night and the weekend will end at Cornwall Motor Speedway on Sunday with the presentation of the third race.

A regular driver had won at each of their local track last year. Local favourite Pierre Dagenais won at Edelweiss; Danny O’Brien did the same thing at Brockville while Brian McDonald was the winner at Cornwall.

Both Autodrome Granby and Drummond were scheduled to present the first and second races of the series but bad weather conditions changed the plans. All drivers still have a chance to win this big series since no points was awarded at both events.

It is no less than 43 drivers that had entered the pit gates at Drummond on July 14 for the 100 lap distance race. Many regular drivers from Granby and Drummond such as the 2006 series champion, David Hébert, Alain Boisvert, Mario Clair, Sébastien Gougeon, Clément Thérrien, Yan Bussière and many more will be present at those 3 races. Regulars from Edelweiss, Brockville and Cornwall will also be great will the participation of the 2005 series champion Danny O’Brien. Lets not forget the presence of last year winner at Edelweiss, Pierre Dagenais, Brian McDonald, Laurent Ladouceur, Lee Ladouceur and many other really good stars from those tracks. Some Frogtown drivers could join the mix since a few of them, did the haul to Drummondville.

Pit gates opens at 4:30pm and time trials are schedule to start at 7pm at Edelweiss. Brockville Ontario Speedway will open their pit gates at 4pm and time trials will begin at 6:30pm. The pit gates will open at 4:30pm and time trials are expected to start at 6pm.

A lot of action and excitement is expected for the weekend. Every track will be an excellent choice!
