Two dates remain on Climate Seal Insulation Indee Open Series schedule



INDEPENDENCE, Iowa – The Climate Seal Insulation Indee Open Series is coming down the home stretch as two August dates will complete the 2007 series schedule.



On Wednesday, August 1, the series returns home to Independence Motor Speedway for the first series race since the May 2 opener. Late models, modifieds and B modifieds will take to the track on August 1 in an event rescheduled from a June rainout.



Grandstand admission prices are $15 for adults, $13 for seniors, $8 for students 12-17 and $2 for children 6-11. Kids five and under will be admitted free. Unaccompanied teens will be required to pay the adult admission price. Pit passes are $25.



Gates will open at 4 p.m. on August 1 with hot laps scheduled for 6:30 and racing to start at 7.



The series will come to a close two weeks later on Wednesday, August 15, during the Indee Open Series Finale in Independence. Late models, modifieds, stock cars and B mods will be on-hand to compete in the event.

Gates will open at 4 p.m. on August 15 with hot laps scheduled for 6:30 and racing set to go green at 7.



Late model driver Terry Neal opened the season with a victory during the May 2 opener. It was his fourth win over the span of five series races. Chad Simpson and Ace Ihm won the next three events, held at Fayette County Speedway in West Union. Ihm won the last two late model features.



In the modifieds, Ron Barker scored the opening night win on May 2. Dan Bohr was victorious in two of the three events in West Union. Mike Darnall also picked up a win on the Fayette County oval.



An event originally scheduled to kick off the Buchanan County Fair in Independence on June 18 was rained out. It will not be rescheduled.
