DOUG ESH HAMMERS GROVE SPRINTS

MECHANICSBURG, PA
The Hammer is back at Williams Grove Speedway.
Doug Esh scored an impressive victory in the 25-lap sprint car feature Friday night, and put himself back into Cindy Rowe Auto Glass championship contention.
Bob Bennett took the lead at the start and set the pace as Esh, who lined up ninth, was working his way through the pack.
Esh cracked the top five by lap seven and was up to third on lap eleven. He took the runnerup spot from Jim Siegel the next time around and began to chase the leader.
Esh slid in front of Bennett through turn two on a restart and led the race at the halfway point.
