PARK CITY, Kan. (July 27, 2007) – Garry Lee Maier rode the rim to a wire-to-wire victory in the O'Reilly NCRA Sprint Series presented by ICM/Ethanol A Feature Friday at 81 Speedway.
Maier, who jumped into an early lead, found the high side up against the cushion the place to run. Marc Robe used the inside of the track to close in and challenge Maier late in the race. Robe had his best chance after a yellow flag with six laps remaining closed up the field. But Maier maintained his advantage after the restart and held on to win his fourth feature of the season. Robe held on to second with Mike Woodruff third, veteran Mike Peters picking up fourth and Luke Cranston rounded out the top five.
