Mercer, PA.Mercer Raceway Park will hold another open practice this Wednesday night, August 1. Pit gates open at 4 p.m. with practice beginning at 5 p.m. and continuing until dark. Pit passes are $20 and the grandstands will be closed. The rain date is Thursday at the same times. The practice is open to cars of any classes. There is no fee to practice, only a pit pass.
"Everyone has been very appreciative of the practices," stated owner Vicki Emig. "It's been a great tool for many racers across all divisions even those that we do not run weekly. The support thus far has been great and as long as the support is there, we will continue to hold them. The weather right now is looking great for Wednesday so we look forward to providing the racers an opportunity to test."
Mercer Raceway Park is located minutes from both Interstate 79 and 80 just off Route 19 on Fairground Road in Mercer, Pa. Dirt track racing and quality family entertainment are presented weekly late March through early October. The office in New Bedford, Pa. is open year-round late morning and after 1:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
