FULTON, NY – This Saturday night August 4 at Fulton Speedway will be a night to remember as Gypsum Express and Ferris Industries present the always popular Family Autograph Night. Scheduled in race competition will be the DIRTcar Modifieds, DIRTcar Sportsman, UMP Pro Stocks, UMP Street Stocks, Gypsum Express Crate Sportsman, and 4-Cylinder Enduros. Featured will be the return of the entire Team Gypsum fleet of fan favorite drivers plus a special appearance of the Donnie Moran Dirt Late Model Simulator with rides for race fans. Race time at the historic Oswego County track is set for 7pm.

The headline DIRTcar Modified division will feature an open-wheeled battle royale in the 35-lap main event this Saturday paying $1,500 to win. In contention for the huge win will be point leader Jimmy Phelps and Alan Johnson, who recently debuted a brand new experimental Bicknell chassis. Other drivers looking for victory lane include Kevin Bates, Dale Planck, Brian Weaver, Chad Phelps, Vinnie Vitale, Roy Bresnahan, Tom Sears, and Tim Sears.

In an exciting announcement, returning to Fulton Speedway this Saturday as invaders on Saturday are the entire Gypsum Express race team, with Billy Decker, Pat Ward, Ryan Phelps, and Pat O’Brien. Without a doubt, a real all-star field of Modifieds will be entered for competition on the high banks and the winner will not be decided until the final lap with the clay flying as high as the lights.

Jeremy Pitcher is looking for his first ever Fulton DIRTcar Sportsman crown, and leads defending champion Shawn Donath by just 28 points. John Pietrowicz, Sammy Reakes IV, and veteran Dave Reilley are all within distance of Pitcher as the final summer stretch run begins. Jason Parkhurst is the leader in the tough UMP Pro Stock division, and he is also looking for his first ever season title. Defending champion Billy Clark Jr. is ahead of Dick Parkhurst, Jack Terrell, and Dale Guernsey.

Ron Hawker maintains a sizable lead in the UMP Street Stock ranks with four wins this year. Hawker, who has yet to debut a new car, paces Jim Wallace, Gary Barton, Dan Hofmann Sr., and Steve Woodworth in the points, all of whom are contenders for their first ever Street Stock championship. In the 4-Cylinder Enduro division, Mark Johnston, Jon Shumway, and Jerry Herbert are the top drivers to beat to victory lane.

After the qualifying races are held, the entire Fulton Speedway pit area will be brought out onto the frontstretch for the popular Family Autograph session. All drivers will be present with their cars to meet and greet fans, sign autographs, pose for photos, and have handouts to giveaway. Without a doubt, race fans young and old always enjoy the special evening of family entertainment.

The spacious Fulton Speedway midway will feature displays by Gypsum Express (including driver souvenirs), Ferris Industries, and the Donnie Moran Dirt Late Model Simulator. The Donnie Moran Dirt Late Model simulator is a carbon copy of multi-time Late Model Champion Donnie Moran’s No. 99 machine, and race fans may obtain rides in the simulator to practice their racing skills all night long. All fans who compete will participate in a contest to see who has the fastest laptimes of the evening for a winner’s trophy.
