NCRA Sprinters to Knoxville

PARK CITY, Kan. (July 31, 2007) – After points racing four of the last five weekends, most of the drivers and teams of the O’Reilly NCRA Sprint Car Series, presented by ICM/Ethanol, can catch their breath the next couple of weekends.

That doesn’t hold true, however, for those journeying to the Mecca of sprint car racing in Knoxville, Iowa. Two-time defending series champion Garry Lee Maier is among a group of six NCRA regulars headed to the Sprint Capital of the World this weekend.

They will be participating in the 17th Annual Knoxville 360 Nationals, Aug. 2-4, or the 9th Annual Brodix Tournament of Champions on Aug 5, or both.

Maier won the Brodix Tournament of Champions in 2005. Along with Don Droud Jr., J.D. Johnson, and Stu Snyder, Maier will compete in both events. Mike Chadd and A.J. Selenke will compete in the 360 Nationals only.

Maier and Johnson have also entered the 47th Annual Knoxville Nationals, Aug. 8-11.

For more information about any of these events, visit Knoxville Raceway n the Internet at www.knoxvilleraceway.com.

For more information about the NCRA, either visit their Web site at www.ncraracing.org or call their office at (316) 755-1781.
