KERRY MADSEN ENTERS FACTORY VALUE PARTS WORLD CHALLENGE AT KNOXVILLE


KNOXVILLE, IOWA (August 1, 2007) - Aussie Kerry ‘the Madman’ Madsen has become the sixteenth and possibly final entrant in the fourteenth annual Factory Value Parts World Challenge, which will take place on Friday, August 10, during the 47th annual SuperClean Knoxville Nationals at the Knoxville Raceway. Madsen, a World of Outlaws (WoO) regular and a native New South Welshman, is the highest-finishing international driver ever in the Nationals, with a sixth place finish in 2005. Although Kerry is eighth on the all-time money-won list for the World Challenge invitational, having earned a total of $11,400, he has never stood on the podium at its conclusion.

Those drivers that are inversion-eligible, having raced at one of the five qualifiers, are Brown, Dollansky, Jacobs, Logan, Madsen, McMahan, Pittman, Schatz, Schmelzle, Stewart, and Tatnell. Those drivers that are not inversion-eligible for the race are Jackson, Jeffrey, Lutar, Walsh, and White. Eight Americans, six Australians, and two Canadians are expected to compete for the $10,000 winner’s share.
