FANtastic Five Eager to Return on Saturday after Two Weeks off at Sharon Speedway
Admission $11 for adults, $5 for kids, under 11 are free

HARTFORD, Ohio; August 1, 2007 - After a cancellation and the World of Outlaws Late Model Series race on the 3/8-mile oval at Sharon Speedway in the past two weeks, the FANtastic Five divisions will return to the Hartford dirt for the 12th night of racing this season on Saturday.

On the racetrack, the FANtastic Five point leaders will be looking to widen their margins on Saturday night. Bob Felmlee extended his points lead in the Warren Harley-Davidson Sprint Car standings by scoring his sixth feature win on July 14. Del Rougeux did the same in the Gibson-Governor Insurance Modifieds, as he cruised into victory circle for the fourth time this year. Alan Dellinger notched his sixth victory of the season in the most recent Coy Bros. Trucking E-Mod feature, but holds down fifth in the points. Howard Fraley rests at the top of the e-mod standings.

Steve D'Apolito is the man sitting at the top of the order in the Tom's Sewer and Drain Service Pure Stock standings. In the Limited Sprints, Guy Griffin holds a sizeable lead in the points after 11 races.

Also on the track Saturday, pastors from the local area will have the opportunity of a lifetime in the third "Faster Pastor" race. The pastors will climb into stock cars for a match race of their own on the 3/8-mile dirt oval at Sharon Speedway. The Kids Crew will also meet on Saturday night.

Tickets for Saturday evening's show will be available at a price of $11 for adults (16 and older), $5 for kids (12-15) and free for children 11 and younger. Pit passes are $22, and the pit gate opens at 3 p.m.

Saturday will also be a "Two for $2" night. Fans who bring two non-perishable food items for Second Harvest Food Bank this Saturday will receive $2 off the price of an adult general admission ticket. A representative will collect the food outside the gate from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. only. Everyone who donates two food items will receive a $2 coupon to present at the ticket window, bringing the price of an adult general admission ticket to just $9. All non-perishable food items are accepted, but canned meats, canned vegetables, tuna and peanut butter are needed most.

As a result of the cancellation on Saturday, July 21, fans are encouraged to bring their tickets and pit passes from July 21 to ANY NIGHT of racing for the remainder of the 2007 season in exchange for admission into the track.

Gates open at 4 p.m. and racing starts at 6 p.m. Fans can call (330) 772-5481 or visit www.sharonspeedway.com for more information and directions.

Just around the corner for Sharon Speedway will be the "NASCAR Duel on the Sharon Speedway Dirt" featuring a $5,000 to win open sprint car feature and a $1,000 to win e-mod feature is slated for Tuesday, Aug. 14. The e-mod race will include NASCAR stars Dave Blaney, Tony Stewart, Kevin Harvick, Clint Bowyer and potentially more NASCAR drivers to be confirmed at a later date. General admission tickets for both events are $25 for adults and $5 for kids. For more details, log on to www.sharonspeedway.com.
