SHANE STEWART TIES KALEY GHARST FOR LEAD IN COX DESIGN
SOUTHERN IOWA SPRINTWEEK POINTS AFTER NIGHT TWO OF TEN
KNOXVILLE, IOWA (August 3, 2007) - With his win tonight in the second preliminary show of the Knoxville 360 Nationals, presented by Vermeer, Shane Stewart of Bixby, Oklahoma, has tied Kaley Gharst atop the leader board in the Cox Design Southern Iowa SprintWeek points after night two of ten consecutive nights of sprint car racing between the half-mile dirt tracks in Knoxville and Oskaloosa. Night number three is Saturday with the finale of the 17th annual Knoxville 360 Nationals and the Caseys General Stores-sponsored Knoxville 410 Championship Cup Series. Both feature races on Saturday will award Cox Design Southern Iowa SprintWeek points, and this is the one night a year that drivers are allowed to run both winged sprint car divisions. Mr. Sprint Car Shane Stewart was the Cox Design Southern Iowa SprintWeek champion in 2003 and again in 04.
