FINAL SATURDAY NIGHT SPORTSMAN RACE UNTIL OCTOBER 12
MECHANICSBURG, PA -- The Saturday Night Series returns to Williams
Grove Speedway on August 11, and this will be the last opportunity for
the super sportsman fans to see their favorite division on a Saturday
night until the season ending Fall Fest on October 12.
Limited late models, street stocks and 4-cylinder stock cars will
also be on the August 11 card.
ABC West Lanes will sponsor the sportsman portion of the program.
While the sportsman cars will make three Williams Grove appearances
in September, none of those dates will be on Saturday night.
On Sunday evening, September 2, the sportsman cars will be part of
a unique triple header also featuring sprint cars and limited (358
c.i.) sprints.
The top ten in the sportsman point standings will be locked into
the September 2 feature event, so this Saturday night's race will be the
last chance for the drivers to earn a guaranteed starting spot for that
special event on the eve of Labor Day.
The sportsman cars will be back to headline a program on Friday,
September 7. There will be no sprint car racing that night.
On Friday, September 21, the sportsman drivers will compete in an
open wheel double header featuring the sprint cars.
One more Saturday night remains for the Grove's stock car divisions
this summer.
The August 25 program will include limited late models, street
stocks,. 4-cylinder stock cars and a 50-lap enduro.
