URC SPRINTS RETURN TO MIDDLETOWN ON SATURDAY, AUGUST 11
The Middletown, NY Orange County Fair Speedway has always played an
important part of URC's history and in 2007, the popular traveling
sprint car organization will be returning to the "hard clay". URC is
celebrating their 60th season and over that time, URC has visited some
137 speedways and presented 1,387 racing events.
The Orange County Fair Speedway is ranked fifth on presenting the most
URC events. Throughout URC's history, they have made sixty-six stops at
Orange County. Saturday night, August 11, the URC BAR'S LEAKS Sprints
will make a return to Orange County. Back on May 21, 2005, Trevor Lewis
won the last URC event at Orange County.
Delaware International Speedway leads all tracks with the most URC
events, totaling 148 shows through 2007. Bridgeport Speedway is ranked
second with 135 followed by the Flemington Fair Speedway (113),
Grandview Speedway with 75 and the Orange County Fair Speedway is ranked
fifth with 66 URC events.
The Saturday night, August 11 event at the Orange County Fair Speedway
will showcase the URC BAR'S LEAKS Sprints along with the 358 Modifieds,
the Pure Stock DASH for CASH, Vintage Modifieds, Sportsman and Pro/Pure
Stocks. Race time is set for 6:30 PM and General admission is $13.
